Imran Khan has been removed from the office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and has given his resignation to the President of Pakistan. PM Imran Khan’s tenure lasted only 22 months. He will take some time off before making any announcements about future plans or politics. Meanwhile, his cabinet ministers have also resigned. Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been appointed as interim prime minister by the President who met with him on Friday afternoon and according to reports, Imran Khan announcement today postponed and has requested vacation until further notice. However, speculations are being made that PM Khan might not return at all to politics!
Pakistan will face election again in 90 days
Prime Minister Imran Khan announced today that Pakistan will face a new election in 90 days, following weeks of accusations and political turmoil. In recent weeks, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was ousted after being accused of corruption. Now, all members of Parliament will be removed in favor of new elections. While there are political concerns for these abrupt moves, Mr. Khan has largely been met with praise for what many view as a positive move toward democracy.
Imran Khan holds press conference
Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will hold a press conference today (April 22, 2022). The press conference is scheduled for 10:00 AM in Islamabad and it will be televised live. On Monday (April 20), Khwaja Asif stepped down as foreign minister following Imran Khan’s accusation of corruption. It was also announced that former cricketer Wasim Akram would not be part of Imran Khan’s cabinet.

SPOKESPERSON CONFIRMS IK’s DECISION TO NOT APPEAR BEFORE JIT
Reacting to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s decision not to appear before JIT today (Tuesday), Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said that it was premeditated decision. It is a premeditated decision of Imran Khan not to present himself before a JIT. Which is under Supreme Court supervision and he has been invited in accordance with set procedures. This is said by Zakaria while speaking to media outside Parliament House on Tuesday.
He added that Imran Khan had requested for time but now he has decided not to appear before JIT despite having all facilities at his disposal.
Zakria also said that Imran Khan should have appeared before JIT as per law but now it seems like he will never do so.
He further added that Imran khan should respect institutions of Pakistan and honor invitation issued by them, adding He should follow law instead of creating hurdles.

OUR ECONOMY WILL BE BUILT ON HUMAN CAPITAL, NOT JUST RESOURCES (IK)
PTI Chairman Imran Khan has said that his government will work towards building an economy that is based on human capital and not just resources. Our economic growth will be driven by human capital. Our future will rest in intellectual resources, not in our limited natural resources, he said while addressing a public gathering at his hometown of Mianwali on Tuesday evening.
The cricketer-turned-politician had also announced that his party would return to power next year. He has also urged people to come out and vote for PTI candidates during next month’s by-elections. Saying that only they could bring a change in Pakistan’s political system and economy.

Imran Khan said that he wants to build Pakistan as a welfare state on pluralism and tolerance.IK said there is no place for any kind of corruption in his system.
He emphasized on meritocracy, rule of law and equal opportunities for all. He added that there would be no discrimination based on caste, colour or creed.
There will be equal opportunities for all our yout. He said PTI’s Youth Convention today at Minar-e-Pakistan here after being electe party president.
IK said we want to see Pakistan as an independent country, free from any foreign influence. We want Pakistan to remain peaceful, stable and democratic country where everyone gets equal rights.

IK was receive by Chairman PTI Punjab Ejaz Chaudhry and other senior leaders upon his arrival at Lahore airport earlier today.
The newly elected party chief reached Lahore via flight PK 722 from Islamabad accompanied by his sister. Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho besides close aides Asad Umar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Shireen Mazari among others.
